The Merrill's, owners of Pomar Junction Vineyard and winery, have offered to host our May luncheon at the family's east side estate. Please come and stroll the grounds, savor the idyllic views, and of course enjoy the wines of Pomar Junction.
If there is interest from our members, for an additional $10.00/per person, the Merrills will prepare a unique wine tasting in their family's wine cellar.
The speaker for the luncheon will be Doctor David Fennell. The topic of his discussion will be "Atascadero State Hospital Facts & Misconceptions". Doctor Fennell is a Graduate of the University of Southern California in 1980. He is Board Certified in General and Forensic Psychiatry. He has worked at Atascadero State Hospital since 1996 and assumed the position of Medical Director in 2013.
Directions:
Creston Ridge Lane is approximately 4.5 miles outside of Paso Robles city limits on Creston Road. Please turn left onto Creston Ridge Lane, and follow the road all the way until it ends at the Merrill Family Home. There will be directional signs with balloons at the corner of Creston Road and Creston Ridge Lane.
Parking is limited, therefore carpooling would be recommended.

Menu: The buffet lunch will be prepared by Chef Charlotte of McGee's Cafe of Atascadero.
Salad:
--Chopped Salad (Chopped romaine, black beans, corn, tomatoes, red onion, cucumber, with a feta dressing).
--Mixed Green Salad (Classic mixed greens tossed with sliced pears, glazed walnuts, sliced red onions, with a balsamic vinaigrette).
Fruit Kabobs
Entree:
Butternut Squash Enchiladas (Sweet roasted butternut squash and corn enchiladas with monterey jack cheese and tomatillo);
Grilled Chicken Breast (Grilled chicken breast marinated with lime and cilantro served with a honey-chipotle chutney).
Dessert: Brownies
Beverage:
Pomar Junction will be offering wine for purchase by the glass and/or bottle throughout the luncheon.
Merrill Estate has offered to do a wine tasting in the cellar if there is enough interest. If you wish to participate in the wine tasting, select the Wine Tasting option when you make your menu selection. You will be charged an additional $10 at the time of the tasting. (Not included in $25.00 luncheon fee.)

The Board Of Directors has changed the luncheon policy to allow current club members and their guests to have priority registration. Reservations by Alumni and Non-Members will be accepted seven days past the initial announcement date.
Cost: $25.00 per person - Please bring exact change or a Check made out to NCNC prior to the luncheon. Please do not mail check.. Thank you in advance for this small favor.
