The Barn at Halter Ranch Winery
8910 Adelaida Road, Paso Robles
805-226-9455

The February luncheon will be held at The Barn at Halter Ranch Winery. The Barn is just one of the buildings on their 2,000 acre winery and vineyard. There are historic buildings waiting to greet you as you enter the property, and they have recently built a covered bridge which crosses Las Tablas Creek leading to a new gravity flow winery and wine caves nestled in the center of the estate vineyard. If you’d like to read about the history of the vineyard, including the beautiful Victorian farmhouse built in 1885, which is still the cornerstone of the Adelaida District and a Paso Robles landmark, go to http://www.halterranch.com/.

Menu: Lunch will be catered by Chef Charles D. Paladin Wayne. He will prepare a salad of organic “green house” greens, cucumber, radish, carrot and tomato with a white balsamic vinaigrette. The main course is a choice of three main dishes: Chicken Picatta with capers, lemon butter and parmesan, Basmati rice with spring onion; or Beef Tri Tip with mild pico de gallo and roast potato; or Spinach Ricotta, Artichoke, and Herb Cannelloni, baked with Béchamel and pomodoro sauces and mozzarella cheese. Finally, for dessert, there’s Petite Crème Brule in Demitasse and Cheese Cake Bites!

Beverages: Coffee and iced tea service are included with the meal. Halter Ranch wine will be available for purchase by the glass.

Program: Our speaker will be Chris Taranto, Communications Director for the Paso Robles Wine Country Alliance.  The Alliance is an industry wide trade association that represents and promotes the majority of vineyards in North County.  Its membership includes virtually all the vineyards in the area, including Halter Ranch vineyard. Chris will speak on the growth of the wine industry over the last 20 years and on the Alliance itself.
