Putting Down Roots
The April luncheon will be held at EOS Estate Winery in Paso Robles in the Heirloom Room. EOS takes its name from the Greek Goddess of Dawn, who was cursed by Aphrodite for having an affair with Ares. Her punishment was an insatiable appetite for young men. However at the winery, their insatiable appetite is geared towards producing luscious estate wines.
Menu: Luncheon will be catered by Stein's Catering and will feature an Italian theme. There will be an Antipasti Salad with field greens, marinated beans, assorted vegetables and parmesan cheese with an Italian Vinaigrette. The entrees will be a Tuscan Grilled Chicken Alfredo, with Sundried Tomatoes and Fresh Mushrooms AND a Vegetarian Lasagna. Rounding out the meal will be Parmesan Garlic Bread and Sweet Butter. Finally for dessert, there will be Limoncello or Mocha Chocolate Bundt Cake.
Beverages: There will be two bottles of wine on every table - one white and one red - included with the meal. Coffee, water and peach ice tea are also included. Additional wine will be available for purchase.
Program: Our speaker for this meeting will be our very own NCNC member, Len Johnson. He will be presenting, "Atascadero, Why is it Here?" He will cover the 'Colony period' and some history of its founder E.G. Lewis. Should be an interesting topic!
Directions: EOS is on the corner of Highway 46 and Airport Road. Take 101N or 101S and exit on 46 East. Turn left on Airport Road, and the entrance is the first on the right hand side of the road. You will see their sign as you turn left onto Airport Road.
Attire: The venue will be inside, so no special attire is required.
Cost: $25 per person
Thank you in advance for bringing exact change or a check (pre-written to NCNC) to the luncheon. You may also pay online with PayPal or credit card through the NCNC website until the March 29th deadline.
