We have so many Activities groups to choose from! For dates and times of activities, view our Activities calendaremail our Activities Chair, or stop by the activities books at the monthly luncheon. Some activities have set dates and possibly times, however, others are set by the individual groups throughout the term of the group.

If you’re interested in starting a new group, email Diane Clerou, our Activities chair for more information.

Games

Bridge* A new group is trying to form as the other one is full.  See the "Activities - New ideas" binder at the meeting or contact our Activities Chair using the email link above.

Bunco: Easy-to-learn, no-skill dice game with laughing and socializing. Meets first Monday, 1:00 PM.  

Canasta*: A card game resembling rummy. Group is currently full. Taking substitutes only. Meets 3rd Wednesday of the month at 1:00 PM. If you are interested in forming a new group see the “Activities – New Ideas" binder at the lunch meetings or contact Diane using the link above.

Couples Game Night: New group seeking members! Schedule to be determined.  Or you can sign up to be a substitute in the full group.

Hand & Foot: Rummy-like game that's a variation of Canasta. Willing to teach and start a 2nd group. Meets 2nd Wednesdays, 1:00 PM

Men's Dominoes Group:  Looking for members and a group leader!  Contact our Activities chair, Diane using the link above.

Mexican Train*: Dominoes type game; Meets last Wednesday of month, 2:00 - 4:00 PM.  Group is currently full.  Want to start a new group? See the “Activities – New Ideas" binder at the lunch meetings or contact Diane using the link above.

Scrabble:  Popular word board game.  Looking for more members.  If interested contact our Activities Chair using the email link above.

Texas Hold'em:  New group seeking members! Variation of poker. Plan to meet monthly and play tournament style.  Specifics to be decided by consensus at first game.  Interested in joining?  See the "Activities - New ideas" binder at the meeting or contact our Activities Chair using the email link above.

Outdoors

Bird Watching: Walks of 1 to 1.5 miles around the county (Morro Bay estuary, Montana de Oro and Atascadero Lake) Beginners welcome! Walk location, time and dates as arranged.

Convertible Car Club*: Day trips along the beautiful roads of Central Coast for those who have convertibles. Outings are always the third Thursday of each month starting in March and ending in November.  Group is full but if interested in starting a new group see "Activities - New Ideas" binder at a meeting or contact Diane using the link above.

Hiking Group: Enjoy moderate to strenuous hikes around the county. Hiking experience and proper equipment are recommended. Meets: Tuesdays meet-up either in Paso Robles for 8:30 AM carpool or at trail head.

Motorcycle Group: New group seeking members!  For motorcycle enthusiasts who like cruising in small groups in and around the backroads of San Luis Obispo County and other surrounding areas.  Depending on the route, rides should last 4 to 5 hours with a stop over for lunch. As much as possible, the routes will try to minimize exposure to major highways.  Interested in joining?  See the "Activities - New ideas" binder at the meeting or contact our Activities Chair using the email link above.

Creative Outlets

Book Group - Science Fiction/Fantasy: Monthly meeting on third Wednesday of each month. Besides book discussion, we sometimes have the authors as guest speakers. We strive for a variety of Science Fiction books – old and new; humor, fantasy, and hard SF; etc. 

Interior Decorating Tours: Outings designed to share love of interior design, garden design and decorating sources. Group size may be limited based on the home or business being visited. Meets second Tuesday of most months followed by lunch.

Tangled Treasures: Bring your yarn, thread, fabric or string to knit, crochet, bead, embroider or sew. Meets in homes to socialize while working on your own project. Meets 1st Monday, 1:00 PM at various hostess homes. 

Social

At Home Happy Hour (AHHH): Monthly gatherings of 10-12 people rotating among homes. Bring an appetizer to share and your favorite beverage. Members in groups reassigned in December and June by AHHH Coordinator.

Dinner on the Town: Gatherings of 8 who meet to sample great local restaurants. Groups reorganized in June and December. Groups set own dates/times.  This group would love more members.

Dog Adventures: Bring your four legged buddy for socialization activities and walks around the county. Various locations/times/dates. Join in when you can. 

Girls’ Night Out: Matinee movie and dinner with rotating responsibility for choosing the restaurant and movies. Meets 4th Thursday of the month.  Looking for new group leader, if interested contact Diane using the email link above.

Line Dancing: Classes taught twice a week:  Tuesday at 6:00 pm and Wednesday at 9:00 am.  Both classes are taught at Centennial Park in Paso Robles by club member, Tina Scarsella.  Please contact her for more information.  These classes also meet and dance at community events or in other fun venues.

Out to Lunch Bunch: Lunch once a month. Dates and time vary. Size of group varies depending on the venue.

Singles on the Go: When it's more fun to do it with a group instead of alone. Monthly calendar of places to go and things to do.  Monthly lunch and AHHH for singles only. Meet the 3rd Wednesday of the month at different local restaurants. 

Travel Club: You are invited to join the NCNC Travel Group by providing your email address to Eileen Brown to get full details on where our next tours will go.   

Wine Tasting: Enjoy wines and appetizers at wonderful local wineries. Meets third Monday, 3-5 PM. RSVP and a fee required. Group size varies and may be limited by winery.
